The
village at the end of the world is there
such thing? Somewhere at the end of the world?
We
are making a journey to the South Pole, toAntarctica. We
discover that there are not only research
stations and penguins, but that there is an
actual village. A little
settlement in the middle of the ice. Villa las
estrellas, the village of stars with 48
inhabitants. What is it that makes it a
village?A few houses, a bank, a grocery store and
a school.

A
documentary about roots in a territory,
Wirikuta,a barren
desert area where only peyote cactus grows. With
a costumbrist view, the
documentary brings us closer to the life of
three characters who live in a small isolated
community and who are trapped in Wirikuta.Through
their motivations and consequences, we
understand what holds them there and we take in
a particular view of the place. This is
an allegory of the land, a search for harmony
between the human being and the world around
him.
