The village of Escobar, forty kilometres from the Federal Capital, celebrates the Fiesta Nacional de la Flor as it has for the last forty years.  Each year a different flower is invented and put up as a symbol of the creativity of the flower growers of the area. In the 1990s, through one of the worst governments that Argentina has had, an exoppressor arrives in the City Hall of Escobar. The flowers are a metaphor of a country which is debating whether to follow memory or oblivion.

Ángel (8 years of age) makes bricks by hand. The forced work he carries out under inhuman conditions is the starting point for us to get to know his life, his friends and his complex surroundings. This is a community which, submerged in misery, is fighting for subsistence, and where suffering among adults is often transformed into blows and abuse of children.

Just outside central Santiago, the booming capital of Chile, a wild bunch of kids has settled down at a spot between the newly built highway and the polluted Mapocho-River. Spit out from the society they’re trying to survive with begging and stealing.Among them is the 15 years old Gatica who has been living on the streets since he was seven. Recently released from prison he knows he must change his life – soon he will be sixteen and then, if he get caught again, he could be sentenced to several years. There is a slight chance - a soccer-club is interested in his talents - but things have it.

An inside story of a virtually closed society.This is the story of Shazia and through her a glimpse of a community.Shazia is a teenaged muslim girl living in Kolkata.The images that have come out in the film have rarely beenseen by people outside the community.One of a family of eleven,Shazia coaches children in her slum,sells dresses,teaches at a non -formal school while studying for her high school exams.This is interspersed with oc- casional trips all over the city to locate her mentally- challenged brother who often gets lost.Shazia remains unfazed.

A documentary about roots in a territory, Wirikuta,  a barren desert area where only peyote cactus grows. With a costumbrist view, the documentary brings us closer to the life of three characters who live in a small isolated community and who are trapped in Wirikuta. Through their motivations and consequences, we understand what holds them there and we take in a particular view of the place. This is an allegory of the land, a search for harmony between the human being and the world around him.
